When I just can't take the couch anymore,

I resume my favorite position on their bed. There's something about resting on those pillows and leaving fur on them that's so satisfying.

After Mom proved unresponsive to my early morning calls for breakfast...

I hopped up on the bed and put my nose up to her nose to make sure she was still breathing. I was totally ready to administer mouth-to-mouth if that had been necessary.
