Just why IS Grandpa taking off work ( driving black race cars) on Friday? And why does Grandma change the numbers on her board with a big smile?

He's still trying to figure out how to get into the bird feeder. Grandma says she can hear the cogs turning in his brain as he studies his latest challenge.

I've been fielding questions about that very striking, oh- so- distinguished guy who shows up from time to time. I asked Grandma about him- she said he's dropped by for appetizers over the years but never got acquainted. They've always called him "Big Earl" as he used to come with Earl but was always larger.

Then I started thinking- maybe there really is a family connection here. I mean- how many gray cats do you see? And then it dawned on me- what about those dazzling white feet? Oh no!!! Am I one of those "keep it in the family" kind of girls??? I think I've lived in the country too long!!!

Remember Grandma's friend Betsy? The gal who came and gave us turkey when Grandpa was gone? She sent me a belated birthday present- and these treats really are irresistible! Just like me!

My food has been disappearing! Honest- and not from me eating it! So I put up a hidden motion-activated camera and look what I discovered!

Boys drive me crazy!

Grandma!  Come quick and tell Milo to stop!! He came in and is playing in my catnip pillows!!!  Help!!!!

Tuesdays with Morrie

Here's our newest CampOhio visitor- this little toad really likes Grandma's plants,especially sitting in the shamrock shade. To him, it must be like relaxing under a palm tree! Morrie is quite a hopper too- his favorite spot is in the green striped planter- and his only way to get up there is to jump!

Grandma was out mowing when she saw 2 of these bad boys in the driveway, eating "take out". Turkey vultures!  Woah- I think this little purr-box will stay on the inside of the glass, thank you very much! Good news is, they were much more shy than they look and flew away when Grandma was trying to get their picture.

It's the day after my birthday...

and I'm exhausted!  It was great! 

I could tell which present was from Boo

It's definitely her favorite!  Plus she greeted me with a lively rendition of "Happy Birthday".
